Ronald Gastelum
Mr. Gastelum is the retired President and CEO of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. The MWD conveys approximately 6.5 million cubic meters of water per day to over 17 million people making it one of the largest water wholesalers in the world. In addition, Mr. Gastelum is an attorney with 25 years experience in both public sector and in private practice focusing on corporate and environmental matters. His environmental practice has emphasized public water supply and waste management.
Jeffrey Parker
Mr. Parker is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Consolidated Water Co. Ltd. (NASDAQ Global National Market – ‘CWCO’), which owns and operates SWRO plants in six Caribbean countries. He served as CEO of Consolidated Water from 1982 – 2003. He served as a Director of the International Desalination Association and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
James V. Mitchell
Mr. Mitchell has 24 years of experience in venture capital financing of development stage companies. He founded Meier Mitchell & Company in 1984 (later renamed GATX Ventures), which under his leadership provided in excess of $2 billion in venture debt and equity financing to early stage (pre-public) technology and biomedical companies in the United States, Canada and Europe. He currently serves as a member of the Investment Committee of ETV Capital, a venture debt provider in Europe and Israel, and is on the Board of Advisors of Partners for Growth, LLC, a San Francisco based venture investment firm. Mr. Mitchell has lectured on venture investing at the University of California.
Mark Sanderson
Mr. Sanderson is the Director of Programs at the Anne Ray Charitable Trust. He previously served as Director of Conservation Programs at The Nature Conservancy’s (TNR) California South Coast and Desert Regions. Mr. Sanderson had previously served as the Director of Philanthropy for the Conservancy’s California program where he raised more than $60 million for the organization.
Gregory Elam
Mr. Elam has over 25 years of experience as an executive and consultant in the energy industry. He is an expert in utility operations, deal structure, strategic planning, contract negotiations, and utility infrastructure. Mr. Elam has completed more than $1 billion in energy supply transactions and has developed and implemented energy strategies for several Fortune 500 firms. He is the founder and CEO of STEP Resources, and previously served as CEO of American Energy Solutions. Mr. Elam assisted in launching Enron’s power trading business, and served as President of Energy Exchange of Chicago.
Robert Simonds
Mr. Simonds is a long time advocate for water rights and policy issues. Mr. Simonds has served on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD), the world’s largest water wholesaler. Currently, he chairs the MWD’s 2060 Blue Ribbon Committee established to develop new strategies to position MWD to meet the region’s future water demands. He is the Chairman of the Robert Simonds Company, and is a seasoned producer of over thirty major motion pictures. Mr. Simonds serves on the boards of the Yale School of Management, the California Chamber of Commerce and the advisory board for RAND Corporation’s Center for Global Risk and Security.
